StemArray™
Technologies: The Ambry StemArray™
Applications: The High Resolution 44K array offers increased coverage in known stem cell and cancer-associated genes
Human Embryonic Stem (hES) Cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells that are cultured for an extended period of time are susceptible to chromosomal instability. Current stem cell characterization is performed by low resolution karyotypic analyses which can only identify large scale aneuploidies over 5 MB in size.
The Ambry StemArray™ is a high resolution karyotyping approach to stem cell characterization without additional delays or costs. The Ambry StemArray™ utilizes aCGH technology to cover the entire genome at an average resolution of 43KB and 24KB in RefSeq genes. The 44K StemArray offers increased coverage in known stem cell- and cancer-associated genes to further enhance the resolution in these functionally important regions.
At Ambry Genetics, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of service and science. Our team of experts is available to assist with your stem cell characterizationneeds through high resolution karyotyping.
The Ambry StemArray™
- • aCGH technology – Agilent (4x44k array)
- • Increased probe coverage in over 60 pluripotent associated genes
- • Increased probe coverage in over 195 cancer associated genes
- • 43 KB overall median probe spacing
- • 24 KB median spacing in RefSeq genes
Benefits of StemArray™:
- • Higher Resolution to detect smaller duplications and deletions
- • Entire genome coverage with specific single gene resolution in pluripotent and cancer associated regions
- • Turnaround time ~ 2 weeks
- • Price is comparable to karyotyping cost
